Fu Yong is here….

What’s so special about ‘Fu Yong is here’?  Well, he’s Alvin’s friend who came over to visit us during weekend.  Alvin got super excited about food when he’s here.  :D  He’s been thinking of what food to bring Fu Yong to.  I wonder why~  Haha.  So here we are, at the Restaurant Bamboo.

I like their simple design.

And fall in love with their menu!  This is really a nice book, right?

Oh ya, I forgot to mention that this Restaurant Bamboo is famous of their Emperor’s Paper Wrapped Chicken.

I love their menu’s design~ So clean, so awesome~  Every page they have the bamboo on it, not many, but just enough to attract your eyes. 

They really put in effort in designing the menu. 100% for the menu!

Here comes the fame dish — the Emporer’s Paper Wrapped Chicken!  That’s quite a lot of rice for 4 of us…

It’s cooked with herb, different from what we have in KL.

This is my favourite vege, Kangkong~!~~~

Then we have the hot plate taufu, very fine and delicate, yummy~~

Oat prawn~  Everyone go for the oat and ignoring the prawns, haha~  Too little oat, that’s our conclusion.

芦笋, asparagus — not bad too!

Lastly we ordered mango pudding as dessert.  Very soft, just nice, not too sweet.  Love it. 

Alvin cute it into flower shape, very pretty huh?

Oh oh, it’s really turning into food blog. Haha~ :D   

This is Mama Chop, Papa Grill.  I believe some would have seen this shop in few places.  I saw one in Kajang, and KL, and now in Tmn U, Skudai.

Mushroom Garlic Chicken — not bad, for me.  But the person who ordered it seems to prefer another type more.  She thinks it’s pretty oily.  Haha~

Mine — The Cheese Chicken~~  Ya, I love cheese, so I always go for something with cheese.  :D  I thought the cheese would be inside the chicken itself, like what I had before in hometown.  When you cut the meat, the cheese inside would flow out, that’s so~~ fantastic!  But this one is not bad too. 

Mama Papa’s Special Combo~~~~ This is what I mentioned, someone is more interested in this.  :D  For me all are considered not bad.  :D  That golden stick stuff is sausage wrapped with ham and cheese. 

Well, I never really like sausage.

As it’s Alvin’s birthday on 24th and Mun Yee’s on 25th, we have a steamboat gathering at Tmn Tun Aminah then~  Its about RM17++ per head after adding the 5% government tax.  If you can read the sign board there, they are promoting ‘live prawns’ provided!

Since we already have appointment with some friends on the second day, we just go for somthing simple for his birthday~  He chosed this Japanese restaurant which we never tried before. 

He ordered beef dom, just to check out if it’s the same as what we always had in Japan. 

The conclusion is… it’s totally a different thing and it’s not so nice too.  :p

This is mine, Japanese fried noodle.  Well, of course it’s so different.  Just like you won’t have the same curry when you go to Japan as in Malaysia.  :D  But this is better than the beef dom.  But it’s so oily~

Alvin doesn’t really like cakes, but it’s birthday, so I bought this big cup cake for his birthday cake~  Together with a muffin cake.  I think that mini cake is too small, haha~

Not bad huh?  Actually it’s pretty nice.  It doesn’t need to be expensive cake to be nice. 

He was indeed surprised by the ‘cakes’.  :p  He went out to new house and thus I have enough time to prepare.  

After singing birthday song,  time to make wishes~

Finished both in no time~  We were pretty hungry that time.

Today is a special day~

30 years ago, a boy was bornt to this world.  30 years later, he’s someone special in my life, of whom I share the rest of my life with.  Happy Birthday, Dear.

Last week, we went to a new place — 古早人 to try the porridge.  The name of the restaurant simply means ancient people.  I wonder why. Haha~  That’s Heng Yao and his wife, Li Yin~

It’s been a while we didn’t take some photos of us~  Any changes?  Fat? Slim?  Hehe

Ok, that’s the birthday boy~  It was his birthday, thus we went for something better.

When we were still in KL, second sis brought us all to Old Klang, not for the famous BaKuTeh but for the seafood.  This is a restaurant by the beach, therefore you can enjoy seafood at the seashore with cool breeze from the sea.
